Bay Photonics expand within EPIC
2021 has started positively for one of the area’s most rapidly growing microelectronics businesses. Bay Photonics created an additional six jobs in 2020, a year in which they moved their entire operation to the EPIC Centre.
The business has since won some high profile contracts with lucrative new clients and is working on cutting edge technologies. This expansion has resulted in the need for additional space within the building making them one of the centre’s biggest tenants.
EPIC Centre Director, Wayne Loschi, is delighted with the progress “Bay Photonics moving into the centre was a massive boost. It demonstrates that EPIC can accommodate growth businesses. We’ve tried our best to support them with services and equipment and will continue to do so moving forward”.
Bay Photonics’ Managing Director, Glenn George, added. “We are very pleased that our Photonics Assembly and Packaging business has continued to increase this last year despite unprecedented difficulties affecting businesses around the world. Employing additional highly skilled people locally was a pre-requisite to being able to expand our Company and I am excited to work with our new staff to grow our Company further. EPIC have been enthusiastic about supporting our needs for additional facilities and listened intently to our suggestions to make the facilities and the EPIC community a better place to work. ”
